My turn to vent

DH and I are self employed...I have mentioned this many times...the only money that came in during April was what we billed in March. Of course we had rent, utilities, etc to pay at our office and now we are in a new month and have those payments to make again.

We have yet to get the stimulus money and so far have not been able to get on our states web site for self employed people to get any assistance.

We are not destitute but I am not sure what the next two months will bring if we cannot get any work....

so this is my vent:

My friend on is on unemployment +600.00 until she is called back to work (she is making more money not working) had her car detailed yesterday at the tune of $125.00 and had a massage today. Massage was done by a family member.

Just irked at the whole situation

I hope your get your money soon and things improve quickly.
We desperately need to put up a new fence but our one neighbor will not help with one cent. They got their stimulus money and bought a bunch of stuff. A couple of months ago my husband asked if they could pay for half the fence and they said they were dead broke. They tie their dog up in the yard so they don't care that the fence is falling down.

Glad that your friend was able to put money into the local economy and keep others working.

Not receiving your stimulus money .... you have to blame the the top of the food chain.

Believe me, I feel your pain. Hopefully we can all get back to something normal soon. I'm currently ok myself but I fear that the new normal is going to hurt my business for months to come.

No idea why you are not able to utilize your state' web site in order to apply for monies you may be entitled. Seems like that would be a huge priority to spend as much time as necessary seeking resolution.

As far as financial circumstances of others, I don't concern myself with such. Why you feel the need to trash someone you say is a "friend" for any reason...that is sad.

@Mom2Dogs So sorry to hear of your situation! Sad to say, your situation seems to be all too common these days. Don't know why this is happening. I'm sure you have already tried your local representatives and your senators. I think I'd be banging down doors at this point.
