I would look into how "gummies" are made if I were you.  It may not bother you, but it certainly turned me off.

@LilacTree  You might want to read up on aloe vera. I am taking it for stomach issues , and it has helped me greatly

I have noticed a great difference in my hair and nails since I have been using it. It has anti inflammatory properties , and many people use it for baldness.

I take it orally, and  I can only say it has helped me and  unless my hair is just in a growing spurt  on it own, I can see a  fast  growth in my hair, and my nails are less brittle. I too have thyroid problems, and even with my armour thyroid, my nails were still brittle

@cherry

I've heard of it.  How do you take it orally and where do you get it?  Sounds interesting.

I get it at my grocery store . They have a large section of health food. My Dr who is into natural remedies, told me to try it. YOu can get it at health food stores, or Amazon

It has helped me. I am still struggling ,but a lot better than I was. I take it in water. I oz of Aloe Vera to 1/2 oz of water. You can also  take it straight, and they also have flavored varieties

It has a somewhat sour taste  a bit like dill pickle juice.  It helps my gerd. I still take other meds, but this is a fast acting relief ,sort of like taking Tums,  but better

Hi LilacTree,

I have a wig very similar and love it.  I have to wear wigs, hats and scarves because my hair has been shedding for one year non-stop and we are at the end of the line.  But I wanted to address the sensitivity of your scalp.  I have a condition referred to as burning scalp syndrome.  I have been in pain off and on throughout a day for about a year or so.  I read about coconut oil possibly working and started applying a month ago just where my hot spots were.  I have had amazing relief from the pain and very lightly combed my hair on the top for the first time  in a very long time (hate to say how long!)  You can get a jar for $6.95 and try it.  I have never had something so simple work such a miracle in my life before and I feel so grateful as even my wig hurt me before.

I wish you much luck.

I can only wash my hair once a week.  My burning scalp is mostly due to rheumatoid arthritis.  I also have chronic torso itching, both in the front and back, but mostly the back which is the hardest to reach.  Sometimes I'd rather have pain.

My daughter tells me she has a whole unopened bottle of it.  She doesn't seem to want to open it right now though, so I'll have to wait until I do my next food order.  At this point I'll try anything!  I'm glad it's working for you . . . no rush like doing something that actually works!!

I don't know if this matters to you but I buy organic

I get the inner fillet juice. You can also buy gel, or the whole plant juice

My wig hasn't arrived yet.  I did get the notice from USPS that it would be here in "two days," which should have been yesterday.

Hopefully it will arrive today and I won't have a whole rigamarole with this.

We are an all organic, vegan family (except for one daughter, who is very frustrated as she is the main cook of the family for holidays).

I also follow the low FODMAP diet, excluding their inclusion of meats and meat products (and fish, which I used to rely on).  This diet has been less than a year for me, my daughters have been vegans longer.  My progress has been very slow, I guess because of my age.  So I will try anything, as I said.  My life is very uncomfortable every day in many ways.

I would never buy a gel, because I saw videos online as to how they are made and it turned me off.

We just got a "Mom's" food store here and that is where we shop now.  In a pinch we will use Wegman's or Whole Foods.
