What amazes me is, when I mail the car pmt, or utilities...they get it the next day, and it is cashed!! No kidding.

Last week mailed a note to my daughter down South, took a week. Sometimes she gets it in 2 days. You never know!

This time of year, the mail is a bit slower. Hoping it will turn up.

Hope yours shows up....I sent my DD 75 dollars in a card a year ago from an Arizona post office, she never got it.

Must have been the same AZ P.O. that took my GD's $50. birthday money.

I complained to a manager of the P.O., but he said there was nothing they could do about it. No way to trace it. Don't they have cameras in the back rooms?

I'm tired of dishonest people. Sorry about the rant, but that is how I feel after reading the stories everywhere lately.

I think thieves look especially for greeting card size envelopes, white or colored, because they figure there may be some money in that card.

I feel your pain. I ordered a gift card online from a grocery store (Wegmans) to be delivered to a friend. I received notice LAST Thursday from Wegmans that they shipped it. Well, she still hasn't received it.

I should mention that where it was shipped from and where it was going was in NY state and they had some really bad weather this past week.

I just emailed Wegmans and asked what I should do at this point. I'm hoping since they mailed it, they will be able to cancel it and reissue another one and I won't be out $150.

I have learned my lesson that I'll never do things this way again. I'll insist it go via a method that can be precisely tracked and requires the postal people to sign off at every point.

I really hope your son gets his card and my friend gets hers! Keep us posted!

He's probably received it by now. I mailed a card from Arizona to California & it went the route of the east coast.

My bff used to work for the postal service. She would tell me all of the ways employees could get stuff out of envelopes without evidence of tampering. Even though I always send checks, I still tape the corners of the flap as well as the bottom. It's a shame, but theft will probably always be a part of our lives.

My son went to his post office an inquired about the card I sent him and they told him last week they fired 3 postal workers for stealing. These people need to go to jail this is a federal offense! This is horrible you can't even trust the postal service anymore. As far as the gift card I enclosed it was a Barnes and Noble and I called customer service and they will put a stop on the gift card that I bought if it hasn't already been used and issue me another one. At first we went to the store to there CS and the girls could of cared less they said nothing we can do.So forget the store if you have a problem call the CS complaint they are very nice seem concerned and are willing to help. I should hear from them in a couple of days as to the status of the gift card. I will keep you posted.

I had a pair of earrings showing being a local postal facility about 50 miles away over the summer. I called the company who could see the same tracking I did...they said it may of missed a scan and show up anyway but if not..call on the 5th and they would resend it or reimburse me if I chose. Well I was on vacation the week of the 5th..I come back and on my to do list was to have them ship another pair of earrings. I wanted them lol..so I go online to check my tracking to get the # for my email correspondence and notice they were out for delivery that day and they did show..where they sat for 14-days is beyond me.

Another time (same company) I received Twice..a Fed Express package that you could tell was sliced open and oh so nicely taped..the items taken out of the box and a empty box shipped on..by looking at the bubble package you could tell it was jewelry. They did refund my money right away but I did have to fill out forms and have them notarized..I know many get upset about it..but not everybody is honest like we are..and lie.

I went thru Wendy's the other day and they shorted me 3 - Value Items ...I called and they told me to get them on my way thru next time. I go back and they gave me a hard time..they didn't have my name in the ""missing book..""

I was a bit peeved and said I just ordered expensive Chicken sandwiches (well for them lol)..why would I lie about $3 value items..and she said - you wouldn't believe...and I guess in that aspect is right..they don't know me from Adam..she did give them to me..but wasn't thrilled..and I wasn't budging..I am tired of getting shorted..!!
