Awhile back I posted about my best friend who was ill and you were so kind and supportive with your prayers and good wishes. For awhile it looked like she would be ok, but sadly last month she passed. Forgive me for being sentimental , but tonight I just wanted to share what a really fine person she was. It's rare to make a good friend later in life, so I was blessed. My friend never met a stranger, ( not like the kitty at all. ). She was, funny, irreverent, kind and a little prickly.  She was a traveling CRNA, and after she retired, we only saw each other on visits. We would talk often and email , we never lost touch. She lost her husband a few years ago and we grieved along with her. She wasn't alone though, but surrounded by her animals. We both loved books, cats, politics, and shopping. If you lasted this long , thanks, I still head to the phone to tell her something funny. I was lucky to have her as my friend, and I will hold on to that.

I'm so sorry @QVCkitty1

It is wonderful to have that kind of friend to share so many things with

and I'm sure you will miss her very much.

@QVCkitty1  I am so sorry for your loss.  Having such a good friend is really a blessing and life looks so much different without them.  May you remember all of the good times with her and cherish those memories.

@QVCkitty1

Thank you for sharing your wonderful memories of your Friend; how fortunate to meet as you said, later in life - not easy.  I hope that eventually the memories you made will help lessen your grief.

Sending Light and Good Wishes your way.

@QVCkitty1

Thank you for sharing that with us.  I do recall your request for prayers and I am so glad, that although you lost your friend, you have such great and fond memories.  She sounds like a great friend and indeed a fun person.
