I've stated it on this forums so many times I lost count, and also on many other BB, some of which were dedicated to opinions on trials and juries.
My opinion is still, and has been since I served on Jury Duty 9 times, that the people I sat with on these trials were not "of my peers". People? Yes. Did they belong on a jury? Of the 12 I sat with on each trial, at least half of them wished they were somewhere else. And on every single one of them were at least 2 people that had the common sense of a p---ant, and that is being gracious to them.
What type of jury do I think would be the best? Other than witnesses that are directly connected to a trial, who else gets on the witness stand? EXPERTS. Do you think they are just doing their civil duty by giving their testimony? Of course you don't. What motivates them to testify in most of the trials in which they take part. It's $$$$$$$$$.
Nuff said,
