Jeanne Bice's Daughter Has Passed Away

Lee Bice, 47, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 1, 2011. A resident of Boca Raton, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Jeanne and Arlow Bice, and the sister of Tim Bice, of Delray Beach, Florida. Her mother, Jeanne Bice, was the nationally-known creator of the Quacker Factory line of embellished apparel and QVC personality, who passed away on June 10, 2011.

A native of Ripon, Wisconsin, Lee studied art and interior design at the University of Hawaii and Parsons School of Design in NYC. She worked with her mother and brother in establishing Quacker Factory and collaborated on numerous projects, including The Rubber Duck Principle, published in 2009. Her mother wrote of that effort: 'Together we worked very hard and it was a fun experience for our family. We spent hours in a back bedroom at my house telling stories of our lives, with Lee and Tim typing and typing and, of course, me talking and talking. At one point, we just broke up and rolled with laughter and giggles when Lee said she felt like a computer program as she fixed all our mistakes!'

Lee appeared extensively with her Mother on QVC and designed a line of Quacker Factory Home accessories also sold on the network.

Lee loved to travel, and helped to host the Quacker Factory Cruises which were attended by hundreds of Quacker Factory customers. Her hearty laugh and outgoing personality made her a favorite with all the fans that met her.

Lee Bice is survived by her brother Tim, of Delray Beach, Florida, as well as the hundreds of friends who loved her. Funeral arrangements are being finalized.
