It is impossible to know and keep up with everyone...much as one might try. Some names will be more familiar simply because they post more. Some just frequent   a very few subjects and some frequent a lot.

That makes a big difference in who you know and don't know or what names are going to be familiar to you.

I wouldn't expect anyone to miss me if I stopped looking at these forums. It's not like we know each other or are acquantances-friends.  

There are some posters that I really enjoy.

There are only a few that I try to avoid because they are all snark all the time. 

But that's life.

I have to agree with a lot of this....I will add my thoughts....

In addition to above, this forum is a lot smaller than it was years ago.  When the Q revamped the boards about fifteen or so years ago many left never to return. Back then there were so many more participating and threads would move at lightening speed. Some were quite controversial....say what you will about the controversial ones, good or bad but it did keep things interesting.

Today the topics are restricted so there isn't as much interest as in the past.

A lot of us having been posting on here for years with @SilleeMee .  I don't see anything odd about wondering what happened to a poster that used to post daily for years.

Imo this thread is a cya thread for the recent "Why didn't anyone ask about me being gone for X amount of time" thread (paraphrased).

When I first read it I thought how odd since I had never seen the op asking about other missing posters. Personally, I post very sporadically & she's never asked about me, lol. Should I be hurt?

 Now suddenly it's the very vague "missing posters" but with no identifiable names. Coincidence?

QVC has changed and, more to the point, these boards have changed many times over.  Neither for the better, in my opinion. We have also changed. People have left and minimize posting for a variety of reasons related to all three factors, among others.
