Re: Missing From Lisa's Show

Why does everything have to be done on air? No one knows what goes on behind the scenes. I have a theory about why Lisa was kind of polarizing. Personally, I liked her. I think she was good at her.job, and on the outside world, she's probably a nice and fun person to know. Imo, there would have a lot less vitriol directed at her if she were married with a few kids. Maybe even a few extra pounds. Some people don't really like a strong, independent, successful woman who is single and loving life. Forget it if she's gorgeous and doesn't look like the stereotype for her age. Some can't stand that and so they look for ways to pick and poke. It's just my opinion, but it's also been my.observation over time. A lot of women who are really disliked by other women fit that mold...single and successful. It's interesting.

Re: Missing From Lisa's Show

I think they thought it would be BORING to the viewer to show people we have no idea who they are out there babbling to Lisa. The vendors would be more appropriate.

I taped it and just ran it through fast an hour ago. I don't even know who that bald man was who paid the last taped homage to Lisa while showing vidoes of her in the past. Anyone?

And I didn't even know who the Honora vendor was, I remember another older guy. The girl from Philosophy was new, wasn't Darla or Karla. And Diamond Jim, never laid eyes on him before and his whateveryacallit going down his chin was crooked as sin.

I couldn't tell if she was crying or not and that's why all she said was "Byeee".

I for one am going to miss her. She was/is the entire package. It's time for her to move on....for whatever the reason..she'll do great in whatever she chooses to do.

Why didn't the president call her to wish her well? Why didn't everyone just bow down to her on their hands and knees? I just don't get it.

IMHO... the whole 2 hour show was too much, just GO. They have never done anything like this for show hosts leaving. Some are just pfffffft gone!

Actually, they have. I seem to remember, albeit, not to well, a huge send off for another vendor, a Jane -something, or Kathy - something?

Anyway, there were video montages of her years there, cake, falling balloons, etc.

This was over a decade ago, if memory serves.

You would think for all the money she has made for the company, the suits could have done a little verbal acknowledgement. Would have been nice.....even if it was done privately.

Who is to say that they didn't?

Just because they didn't wish her well on camera, does not mean that they did not wish her well off camera.
