@crystaltree Someone doesn’t have to DIE before they are outwardly appreciated! I always wondered why people WAIT until someone dies in order to SAY nice things about that person! I make it a priority to tell people how great they are (if they are) I don’t wait. Why wait! So no, no one died…but why should they have to die in order for people to verbally express what they mean to them🤔
And I’m happy to hear that Dan is doing great and many things! 😃

Because NEITHER Dan not Carolyn has gone away.  Granted, they are not selling doo dads and stretchy pants on a shopping channel.  But they are very much interacting with and speaking to their fans about their REAL lives and interests.  And it's great to see how happy and fulfilled their lives are.  So, I truly do not understand why people are missing them, grieving and whatever.  It's been months!  And it's easy to express feelings about them to THEM.

I would think that those truly devoted to and enamored of these former hosts would have immediately flocked to their multiple social media platforms.   To stay connected.

@THEY CallMe Mr Wilkes  that's what I thought also but it seems as if they are not.

I've been with QVC forever but I never watched him but for those who did and miss him, they should really get behind him to see how and what he's doing.

Maybe they miss him AS HOST but couldn't care less about him personally, thus no subsequent following on social media.  I don't know, just a guess.   ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I didn't think I ever watched a Dan Hughes show .....  then something occurred to me.

I recall that quite a few years ago - Dan hosted a "fashion" show.  For some reason I'm thinking it was Renee's City Knits.

Maybe some time between 2000 and 2005.

Anybody recall that?

@susankate  I don't know if he's considered a Public Figure, but if he is, I don't think you need to have an FB Page.

Someone here might be able to say.

I would assume that most people here, who expressed their sadness of not seeing Carolyn and Dan, did so because QVC LIVE is where they saw them most. Everyone does not have social media accounts and looking someone’s name up online does not replace seeing someone LIVE On Air! Losing the luxury of having Carolyn and Dan LIVE in our homes is what is missed. I myself do not participate on social media sites and do not stop to look up what someone is now doing in their life. Losing Carolyn and Dan is similar to losing the local hairdresser, or someone else who you are familiar with, but you don’t have a relationship with them and when they leave their job then you feel a loss. A loss of someone familiar that brought you joy in the mundane tasks of life. Like losing a familiar face in one’s daily routines. That’s all. A loss. A sadness. A loss of Carolyn and Dan showing up LIVE, with their cheerful, playful, inquisitive personalities, during the course of our daily routines. They both have magnetic personalities that come through on screen. That in itself is dying out. Finding people who,Through A Television Screen, feel as if they could really be a good friend if given the chance.
