Flashlights appreciated too - yearly I buy the pack of 4 or 6 small flash lights - always find someone who is thrilled with them.  This same neighbor saw one of these on my front table (for taking the dog out) and she grabbed it - was just what she needed for evening ushering local stage productions and her light was cutting out.  So.....it became tradition - I've given her 2 new lights every year for Christmas.  Gifting can be fun!

I considered the set because of my high ceilings, ceiling fans etc. I thought the 2nd might be good for my daughter - she lives in a college dorm. So many dust bunnies between 3 girls !  But I wouldn't consider it a 'gift' per say.....

Nothing wrong with a practical, useful gift.  I have no problem with giving it or receiving it.....

A lot of groups (ie. book clubs, cookie exchanges, office, etc)

have a $20ish price point for a white elephant holiday exchange.

I think this would be a good uni-sex present...and a gift box 

to boot.   Score.

I wouldn't buy this as a Christmas or birthday gift but I would buy it for someone just to give especially if we had a prior discussion about the need for this product. Several months ago when I bought a batter operator bathroom scrubber I got one for my sister also.
