I can see why he got so many proposals based on that picture!  If I had seen it then, maybe one of them would have been from me.  Nothing is so attractive as kindess, caring and gentleness. (mixed with strength too! he's a marine!)  Such a beautiful picture.  He's also very handsome!

My DH actually did this for one of our kittens, Perry.   He was the runt of a litter born with a heart condition.  The vet said he might only live a few years with lots of TLC, which he obviously got........he lived to be 13 years old.  Best kitty we ever had and I got the best guy evidently Smiley Happy

Those brave men probably saw so much death and inhumanity around them it was important to save this little bit of life.  I hope they both made it through the war.

That kitty was so tiny.  How wonderful for that man to feed the kitty to save its life.  That is what life is all about caring for others whether pets or humans.
