Try downloading them to your computer with the memory card removed from the camera.

you usually don't need software to download photos from a camera. You more that likely have a USB cable from another device that will work. You can try just bringing the camera itself into a store and see if they can do it for you.

Most newer computers don't need software to download photos from a camera. If your computer doesn't recognize the camera or memory card, then look for drivers from the camera website or use a card reader.

I recommend to OP connect the camera without the memory card in it and see if they pictures are there.

My computer is fairly new. However, my camera is not. Drivers were loaded as part of the installation process, along with the software. As for a card reader, I have no need of one since my camera can communicate with my computer.
