What a beautiful moment it time.  Brought happy tears to my eyes.  The generations sharing their love in the only way they could.  More memories to cherish.

Fate whispers to her, "You cannot withstand the storm." She whispers back, "I am the storm."

@dulwich Your post and the replies have me in tears. I also believe as most of the others do. And how wonderful that this meaningful song was played on that particular day. I don't think there is a dry eye on this thread.  Heart

@Love my grandkids  Thank you for your kind comments.  DD had not watched recording wanted to share the first look with me and when we heard the music both of us kind of collapsed at same time - life surely hands out some surprises.

I'm adding my tears to this thread.  Wow, what beautiful comments were posted, and aren't we all sentimental people?  I am a real softy, tears come to my eyes when I hear our national anthem, but this thread went beyond that, I had to wipe away the tears that slipped out.  Heart

@Lindsays Grandma  They are indeed beautiful comments,  from very kind people.  I am taking photos of these pages to show DD as I am going home next week.  Thank you all.

One of those special moments in life; what a gift. I can only imagine how the two of you must have felt. Thank you for sharing something so moving with all of us.

(and an extra thank you to those that freely admitted their tears...I don't feel like such a weirdo right now with my own! Heart)

I too believe this was not a coincidence, serendipity, a gift, a message for you both to feel and receive. The Angels are smiling and bringing you home.

Dulwich, you have a safe and delightful visit. Enjoy every moment, memory and love you are surrounded by.

I wish you peace, happiness and much joy. So Happy you going home. The emptiness you feel will be filled once again and is a gift for your being.

May this journey be surrounded by blessings.

Dulwich, enjoy!
