Re: Melissa Rivers is Married!!

Well, I am happy she has found someone, I wish her all the best.  I can't believe her son is 24, wow!!!  Seems like only yesterday. Time flies.  I think not only the photo was airbrushed, but so many are going overboard with that glow, wet look. Joan was just Joan with the surgery, Melissa might have same insecurities.  I sent care for that look, but she is still her on inside, and it's not my face. lol.   I loved Joan's wit, and personality despite the face re arrangement, lol.  It see,s so quiet since she has been gone.  I loved her shows with Kathy Levine in the old days. They were a riot.  Joan's jewelry has stood the test of time. I still wear her lornettes, and every piece I bought over the years still looks good

Congratulations to Melissa Rivers, and her husband. I miss Joan's jewelry shows so much. She was fun, and entertaining. I do have several of her pretty bee pins.

Re: Melissa Rivers is Married!!

Congratulations to Melissa and husband.

I have almost all of her original (when she was alive) bees, and some newer ones.

I am wondering if anyone here collected her eggs that were sold for necklaces?  I have tons of those too.  They were the Queen of Romania necklace eggs.  I originally bought them because I'm Romanian but they are so beautiful.  My necklace (if worn whole) is more than 6 feet tall.  I could never wear it all.

I just looked up a recent photo of Cooper, and wow, he is one handsome man!  Wasn't sure how to post it here, but you all are computer savvy, if you want to look up it is out there.  He resembles a lot of Melissa's husband too. Great young man

@luvmybeetle  I didn't collect her bee pins (love the idea behind them, but I'm scared of real bees) but I have several of her gorgeous cardinal pins.  I display them year round in a glass box on the coffee table in the living room.  I have other pins by Joan--butterflies, flowers, enameled birds.  They were all beautifully crafted and look as good as the day I bought them.  I look on Ebay from time to time and have added to my collection.

I'm glad Melissa is happy.

Raise your hand if you remember the Melissa's dollhouse charms!

Yes, we are that old.

I have quite a collection of Joan's brooches and still wear them. My favorites are the mother-and-child cameos.

This is interesting because I display my bee pins in a frame that she sold with a foam type inside it.  When I had a nurse come after my surgery she just raved about it.
