Melissa has been a target on this forum in the past, even attacks about her looks. Joan also has been a target, but that's understandable because she was a comedian whose self deprecating humor extended to others as well. I am sure that Melissa has a huge heartache and void in her life without her mother, as would anyone would who has lost a parent. The difference is her mother was intertwined in her life through work, family, charity, religion, and public exposure. Most of us grieve alone. She has to grieve in public, which makes it more difficult. I hope she finds love and happiness as she and her son rise above the emptiness they must be feeling.
