CCTV footage from South Korea shows the terrifying moment two people fell 10 feet into a sinkhole as it opened up in a pavement near a bus stop

Two people have been treated in hospital in South Korea after falling into a sinkhole which opened up under their feet.

Surveillance footage shows the man and woman getting off a bus and stepping onto a pavement.

Moments later, they have disappeared from view, leaving a gaping hole where they once stood.

Fellow passengers can be seen looking on in horror.

They were later pulled from the hole, which was 10 feet deep, and escaped with only minor injuries.

The cause of the sinkhole has yet to be determined, but they are usually triggered by some sort of land erosion.

But was that really a sinkhole or just poor maintenance you can see it already had like a cut out before they got there...

a sinkhole is where the ground opens up and a deep cavern....

Are we losing our language not to be more accurate in the way we use words?

I can't bear looking at or even thinking about sinkholes or earthquakes. So scary.
