I tend to doubt Ms Rivers decided on her own to continue paying Joan's personal staff.  If it's not written in her will, I'm sure it was discussed between the 2 of them.  Joan left a decent size estate.  She was an educated woman who made her own sizeable fortune.  I cannot see her leaving to chance what would become of that fortune.  I'm betting everything is spelled out in detail. (down to the care of her dogs)

Melissa seems to be a decent person, a caring daughter and a good parent. Yes, she's legally bound to carry out the terms but I see no reason to ever so subtly take a jab at her.

I think this news is great.  But I'm still annoyed that her comments regarding her mother's QVC business are less than appreciative.  She has implied that it is a tacky way to make a living.

Her silver line failed because she was soooooo not into it.

I just remember yrs ago watching some talk show with my mom  that Joan was on (maybe Michael Douglas or Merv Griffin) and they asked Joan if she wore the things she sold and she replied  "THAT JUNK< G$D NO!!!!!"   My dad laughed so hard.  He said, "That's Joan for you...knows how to make a buck but isn't going to lie to you!"     

I know in the last yrs she has been seen wearing her things outside of the Q,  they might have gotten on to her about that.

I think Joan was joking about wearing her "junk". How many times has she been photographed wearing her items?! I am sure she had real valuables...heck she copied mist of them for her jewelry line! 

As as far as laying her staff, I would think it was in her will to do so. Melissa is simply following these wishes.
