If I had been on duty at the customer service desk I would have listened to you and annotate the incident, said I'm sorry and that is it.  It was the chair driver's responsibility. If you received such a big bruise I to wonder if you on blood thinners. It sounds like my mother. What else do you want?

I shop at Meijer all the time and have never had an issue with somebody on a motorized cart.  Personally, I would have addressed the person on the cart for being careless rather than take it up with Meijer after the fact.

@comedy clubber  I’ve shopped at a Meijer store in my area for many years only because it is nearby and seems to have the most variety.   I have had a few negative experiences (but not hit by anything) and spoke to them about it but I too felt they didn’t care. I understand how you feel - they could at least express compassion for what happened.

The store is kind of between a rock and a hard place is way I perceive it

They have to accommodate disabled folks, etc. or face trouble from the Gov.   So, they get the motorized carts, but, they can't watch the folks

who drive them 24/7.   The person who hit her sounds like he may have mental issues, also, so, there's another concern. Court would find based on his brain issue wouldn't find him guilty.

It's a shame it happened and shouldn't had happened if I saw somebody heading to me out of control I would hope I would have

fast enough reflexes to jump out of the way.

This could have happened anywhere at any store.  Meijer's home base is Grand Rapids, my home town.  Even though I don't shop there since we moved 12 years ago, I remember them fondly.

@SharkE  Not all stores. We have no motorized carts in our store.

Have you contacted your legal counsel regarding compensation for the extent of your pain and sufffering?

@comedy clubber  ..... I am not going to get into the controversy over the electric wheelchair cart but I do want to comment on the bruise. If it is bad and hurting you should consider seeing your doctor. A bruise is not something that should be ignored if it is causing pain.

 @Anonymous032819

The format of your post is a bit overpowering, a bit difficult to read.

@Anonymous032819    Is your question mark key sticking?  It certainly appears to be.

I ride electric grocery carts every time I grocery shop and I've never yet seen one that would "zoom".
