I am impressed with refunds at Amazon.  I received a broken item, printed their return label, dropped off package at UPS, came home and saw my refund posted within a ten minute time frame!  Also, last night I was able to see where their delivery truck was and how many stops away from my home with a delivery package....so unexpected.  QVC and UPS should wake up.

I agree......for the most part.  But considering that my delivery yesterday arrived at just before 10PM, I'm not a happy camper.  I'd rather they wait until a more reasonable time the next day.  (Their est. was 5:15-8:15PM). Sunday delivery is a "nice to have", but not resulting in someone delivering so late at night.  I wish they gave an option if delivery is going to be after a certain hour.

never had a problem with amazon.. i shop on there alot... two times my packages were real late.. and i had to email where they came from... they located my package and gave me 2 day delivery.. and then emailed me back that they took off the shipping and handling for me...  i dont even have prime and almost all the time have my packages within 4 days.. im never in a hurry for them.. so it doesnt matter to me... im thinking amazon is one of the reasons alot of retail stores are shutting there doors.... lots of people shop online now........

I think we're naive if we think other companies don't know exactly what Amazon is doing  -  and I think we're dreaming if we think many companies can give us the same things Amazon does when Amazon does NOT make much at all of its profit selling us those brown boxes.

Right now as long as the vast majority of people of above average income continue to pay their Prime dues and Amazon continues to make billions of dollars selling everything but the things that get delivered to us ordinary people, we're going to see more and more difficulty in companies that make their profits selling retail.

But be careful what you wish for --  concentrated power often leads to unexpected consequences.

One of my packages was delivered at four something in the morning around Black Friday, so their delivery times can be interesting. I've had a couple of packages that they swore were coming by ten PM that never made it and were then rescheduled for the next day.

I've paid extra to Amazon to get a package by a certain time, and it's failed a few times.

Personally, I would be delighted to receive a package at 10 PM!

Just had another Amazon delivery today.  (Much earlier than last night!).  I went to the order tracking area on their website and, lo and behold.....there was a picture of exactly where he left the package!  Never had that before!

@millieshops

Everyone benefits from Prime membership. The company needed a financial reason to provide better service. When one segment of the market wins everyone wins.

In NYS Amazon accepts Snap, reduced membership fees for students and others.

Folks who do not pay for Prime get faster shipping.

Seriously?? If it was delivered the next day, then people will complain that it was not delivered on the date stated. Wow, you certainly can't please everyone. Woman Frustrated

If it ships from amazon it only has to be 25.00 or over from free shipping which at one time I think they tryed to raise to 35.00 and over.    For Christmas Amazon advertised that everyone could get free shipping.

Amazon does a prime video plan for 8.99 a month and that comes out to 107.88 a year which saves you about 11.00.    which I didn't know about till I cancelled prime but I don't want it anyway.  I watch enough shark tank to know that shipping is included in amazons prices whether or not you have prime.
