As for forum meet ups, I have been to plenty during AOL's v3.0-3.4 haydays. Those who attended wore name tags w/our addy. You did not have to reveal your real name unless you wanted to.

My writing abilities are such that I simply do not need it yet, but might in the future unfortunately.😐

I am not sure why anyone would make these ridiculous accusations. I can only imagine it is a topic of entertainment elsewhere.
You have never been unkind or controversial here. You consistently reply to every person who posts on your threads in a positive and friendly way.
I guess some people haven't experienced kindness and are suspicious of others who have no need for negativity and drama. Unfortunately, in the absence of negativity and drama, some need to create it.

Years ago, we had a very active poster by the name of Doglover (real name is Jody) who met up with tons of posters from the boards. Her (now late) husband was in the medical profession and traveled to various conferences and hospitals around the country to give presentations, etc. I had a fellow poster about an hour away from me who got to be real good friends with her and her husband (IRL) and I was able to have dinner with her and several other posters a couple of times. My friend that kept in contact with her has now passed away so I don't get updates on Jody any more. I believe Jody was having health issues as well and hasn't been active here in several years. I sure miss her though (and my poster friend).
