@queendiva wrote:Might be Philosophy. I find better skin care products elsewhere for a lot less, and have not bought AG since the company was sold to Coty. The once-loved line is now inferior.
I cast my vote for this as well. I have purchased TONS of Philosophy over the years, starting with the what was fabulous AG. It's not the same as it once was.
The last I ordered was Summer Grace with the promise it would take me to that summer place...warm,beachy, butterflies, etc.
You can hardly smell the fragrance even layering it with the lotion. I have no idea what hapened, but this brand is not the same and that was my last purchase. I don't and didn't mind paying the price when the fragrance had staying power, but these formulas seem to be weak now and I refuse to be duped.

I agree about Philosophy but for different reasons.
I still buy and use Philosophy and will continue to do so. I have not experienced a problem with the scent, I still get compliments almost every single day in various places as I am out and about. I have to close my office door because when I have my fan on, my scent goes out into the hallway and people stop at my door to tell me how good is smells when they stand right there. LOL
However, the kits and especially the TSV kits are not the value they once were and they no longer put the "good" products in them. Back in the day, the kits included super sizes of everything top of the line, using EDP and the body butter.
I have no interest in the olive oil sprays and spray fragrance and all the other "fillers" they now up in these kits to make them a value.
The last "value" kit I bought was at the Nordstrom anniversary sale. A simple kit of all AG shower gel. And free S&H.

I find things stale and tiresome any more.
Same old things day after day, year after year.
The poor hosts having to act excited about items they sell day in and day out, it's terrible.
You can almost predict what will be the specials on the weekends. Big ticket items always.
Some of the hosts are another problem, but if I get into that, I'll get poofed!
I would love to go back to when they did the 50 in 50 tours to find new things.
I find when they do an hour of the day's special, I change the channel and just don't bother to go back..
There's just so many reasons I don't watch much any more.. I miss the past I guess when it was fun and cheaper!!

Somewhere in the press release they said they were pleased with the bed and mattress sales....I was thinking the same thing about Dyson---they show it so much that perhaps FINALLY everyone who wanted/needed a vacuum got one....and sales slowed.....
Or perhaps it's GILI-- this clothing line hasnt been the same since the new vendor took over....and the clothes are pricey too...interesting they mentioned other clothing brands that did well-- Logo, Isaac Mizrahi, Susan Graver, D&C.........but not GILI....
Or maybe it is WEN........
@Spurt I didn't read the press release just guessing so thanks for the info about the mattresses.
It might very well be GILI too. It is no doubt a brand that they have invested heavily in and counted on a big return for their money. They sure gave a lot of air time to Wen but I thought it sold well too. Well, it is what it is, I guess.
It took me awhile to see those comments and someone had to direct me to Homeshoppingnista's Blog.......I know WEN is on a lot, but folks brag about how well it sells ...

I don't know. But, the last time I saw the Beekman boys on evine, one of them said, "We hear from a lot of you that you are replacing your Philosophy with our line." The host looked at him like she couldn't believe he said that.

That made me laugh - even though it was definitely not the right thing to say ...
I have no idea the troubled brand here - I would venture a guess it's Wen or Philosophy though. Both have had a lot of complaints - I personally don't buy either anymore. I tried Wen for a while - didn't work out for me. Philosophy was sold to Coty - enough said.

Could Mally be the troubled brand? Without knowing past sales figures, there's no way to tell.
