CDC is recommending that we wear masks. Can anyone tell me where I can get one? They are on backorder on Amazon and CVS etc. do not have them? I went grocery shopping for essentials today and would say half of the people were wearing them. I live in the Northeast and want to stay safe.

I will be interested in your replies since I don't have one either since we were told repeatedly we did not need them.

@wakefield64 - I ordered a few handmade  masks on Etsy. Not the same thing as the medical grade masks of course, but at least it will be something to cover my nose and face and I won't look out of place by not wearing one.

My masks aren't here yet so I am still maskless.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Thank you so much for giving me an idea! Much appreciated!

@wakefield64   I have ordered three cloth three-ply masks from Etsy.  I haven't received them yet but got notice that one has shipped.  I'm really not going anywhere that I have to get out of my car though, but will still be glad to have them.

Years ago I bought a package from Home Depot to wear while painting or DH when mowing.

Yesterday I dug two out of the tub that were never worn. I’m surprised I remembered 😷.

There are so many videos on line to make them or use a regular scarf when going in stores.  I have several scarfs!!

@wakefield64 - on Etsy, check Beaudindesigns. I have ordered from them many times and have been pleased with their products.  They are offering masks and I ordered some but they're not here yet.

I am not affiliated with them at all, just a customer, and of course, the masks they offer are just cotton masks.  Not medical quality.

Walgreens "in-store" only.  Now weither they are in stock in your area is another story.

Same as above regarding Home Depot & Lowes.  If you have a "family" hardware store in your town, check there.

I would consider wearing a cotton bandanna or cotton dish towel over your mouth and nose.

something that is cotton polyester might be too hot when you wear it
