I am 65 years old and have been posting here 11 years. A very long time ago, I learned how to spell paranoia along with the dictionary meaning of the word. However, until I started reading here, I never saw instances of how that word transferred to peoples feelings. I do feel bad for anyone with fears to the extreme.

There's nothing wrong with judging what other people do. You do it frequently yourself, @KKJ. We all do it. And there's no law saying anyone has to mind their own business. If there were such a law, there wouldn't be enough people out of jail to lock the jail doors.
This is community chat. Everyone is chatting about what is happening in the community.

Oh please! Stop judging, you don't know her. And so what if she lives in a rural area? I agree with orettichis, people need to mind their own business.
It's diabolical how they get people to open up about their lives then use that against them. It sure makes it hard to trust and be open and honest with your fellow posters.

Hey I'm afraid to admit I feed my cat nomal pet food. There are people who will jump down my throat and accuse me of all sorts of things because I don't hand cook special meals for my kitty boys. I mentioned it once in a post and then realized what was up very quickly.

That's fine, other than the fact that the poster you are referring to judges others constantly on these forums. Not just about covid-as everyone who hasn't lived like she has is "sad, terrified, and cloistered", among other things. She insults people and openly admits that she will never respond when people don't like that and say so.
She once called storage I put in my bathroom "hideous", and said she would never put that in her house.
Judgment goes both ways.

@Greeneyedlady21 @KKJ. Yes that certain poster always puts others down but I think some posters want us to be kind to her. Seems like they are pushing for all here to be nice to one another.

I haven't been vaccinated yet. They aren't in my age group get. I wear a mask all the time. When I take my daily walks, obviously when I go to the store, etc. I go to the hair dresser next week. I always ask my hair dresser to put on his mask correctly. (He won't cover his nose) I still won't go to the supermarket. I still use Instacart. Other then that I rarely go out, but when I do.....nobody is wearing a mask. When they walk their dogs, or just doing a walk....their face is bare. I feel like I'm the only one around that is actually wearing a mask.

@Lipstickdiva wrote:If 2 weeks after the second vaccination, everyone still has to wear a mask and socially distance, exactly what was the point? If nothing is going to change, why would people want to get the vaccine?
@Lipstickdiva, I can tell you only my husband's and my experience now that we are past the two weeks.
We can see, touch, and hug our family. We can and did have dinner at their home. No masks, no social distincing.
We now wear masks only where it is mandated. And we're fine with that because we are lessening the risk to others.
I had been reluctant to grocery shop during the recent surge here. Now I have no such qualms. I can do errands that I had put off.
I feel perfectly safe going to medical and dental offices.
We can go ahead with having some necessary or optional work done in our house.
My husband doesn't have a ponytail anymore, and I discovered that I'm actually okay letting my gray take over.
Etc. :-)
