@bikerbabe    I, too, am a Martha fan from way back.  Loved when she had her mother on her cooking shows, and they cooked together.

I have ordered many of her garden tools which are terrific.  They work as demonstrated and last for years.

I don't have any of her clothing items yet.  Wish she would offer tall inseams of 33/34".

And, I believe it was Susan Graver who recently mentioned 'hot pants'.

I, too, remember wearing 'hot pants'.  I don't recall, but did we wear them over panty hose, or maybe tights?  I don't think we wore them bare legged, but I wouldn't bet on that.

@ROMARY "We" wore them over panty hose, preferably with white hight top boots.

I have never bought a Martha product that was not of good quality. I don't buy her clothes here because I just don't like them. But I bet they are of good quality.

Probably because she is someone who works.  I am retired, but I work every day in my house.  I was built to work, and I need to.

What a lot of people see in Martha as uppity, condescending, and arrogant I see as someone who is not bubbly and phony, who doesn't try to con people with phony friendly, knows what they are doing and is confident in themselves.

I am a pretty frank and straightforward person, about 180 degrees from people like Mally, and immediately suspisious of folks like that.  Goes to show you there are a zillion different types of people, and not to judge someone on personality alone.  To me personality is pretty far down the line of what I look for first in people.

....I believe she has what some call 'dry humor'.

I've also heard that she has a sense of humor and she is a very interested and interesting person.

Throughout the many years, I've known quite a few people who were and are very

interested in many things, and they, in turn were and are very interesting.

I've learned a lot from those interesting people.

I watched her with Rick hosting a while back. I thought he was great with her. He engaged her and teased  a lot and she was sharp witted and gave it right back. It was a fun show. I look forward to them together again.

This is her 102nd book. As someone who has never written a book, I think that is amazing.
