I don't know what magazines you are getting but make sure they haven't switched over to the HORRIBLE service called DoorFrontDirect.

No notice, no warning from Food Network Magazine that this would be happening but one morning in the pouring rain I found it laying on the front lawn - delivered by one of those services that would the weekly sale circulars and coupons.  This was supposed to be a better alternative to walking in the bad weather to your mailbox.  Thing is - our mailbox is attached to the house, not out at the curb.

After three phone calls trying to get it switched back to the P.O. I got so ticked off that I cancelled our subscription and 2 gift subscriptions mid stream and asked for my $ back.

Yes.  Always have a problem getting our water bill.  We have a bill that is to be due January 14th but still haven't received the statement yet.  However, junk mail isn't a problem.  That always seems to reach our mailbox.  Our mail comes later and later.  Sometimes not until 9 p.m. at night, yes....that late.  My husband is constantly checking for the mail because he doesn't want it sitting in the mailbox overnight.  I don't understand why ours comes so late.  I live on a small cul de sac, 10 houses.  I see the mail trucks in my neighborhood as early as noon.  I see the mail truck on our cross truck at 2 p.m.

@Diamonds22 , I've been keeping track of my bills and my magazines in a notebook for about 2 years due to problems, but this is the worst it's ever been. I can call in some payments to an automated system, but not comfortable doing so on line. Anyhow, guess I'm not alone with this issue.

It has been sketchy.  My Wall Street Journal has missed so many issues it is crazy.  As to regular mail Satruday I received mail postmarked the 15th of December and yesterday, the 4th I received items postmarked the 16th.  Both of these items were sent to SC from NH.  Normally this takes two to three days.

@catter70

I'm in the same predicament.  My credit card bill usually comes around the 25th of the month, with payment due the 17th of the following month.  I pay everything at the end of each month.  That bill has not arrived.

I get notified of balance due via email - so I'm just going to print that out - include a check and send it to the billing address.

Yes, I'm still waiting for something my aunt sent from Idaho (to South Carolina) on Dec. 21. Funny thing is, she sent this to both my brothers as well. One of them got his in just a few days, the other one and I are still waiting!

I got "Past Due" property tax notices today at my office. I never received the 1st ones! There've been a couple of other bills that arrived late, too.

oh yes, this issue is not going to go away anytime soon.

i was at the post office yesterday to mail a box and buy some stamps. there was a long line, but well spaced out. two postal workers were open out of 5 positions. wait time about twenty minutes.

as i got into the area where i could actually see what was going on, i noticed some temporary shelving on wheels sitting there in the lobby area......something similar to those origami shelvingunits that hsn sells. there were AT LEAST 100 prepaid packages on thos shelves and a sign that said prepaid postage packages only.

its a mess!

Re: Mail delivery

[ Edited ]

No problems with mail here.  The mail delivery person is here between 9 and 11 am everyday, but Sunday.

I would be happier if he didn't try to stuff large parcels into my mailbox though.  Often the boxes are just a little too big and contain heavy car parts.  He has broken my mailbox several times ( the flag and the door)  and once left a note for us to replace it.

Yes, I'm having problems getting my mail. Some days it comes between 11am & 1pm.Which are my usual delivery hours. Some days like yesterday my mail was delivered at 9pm!! Sometimes a couple of days go by & I get nothing.

I had to call & pay my insurance bill by credit card last week because it was due & I didn't get the bill.I finally got the bill past the due date.

Back in the fall the mail system was "messed with". It's about time they straightened it out!!

Thankfully I get almost nothing but junk mail. Everything is pretty much online so no mail. All I get are catalogs and local ads.
