Mail Carrier without Mask - Page 3

@I am still oxox Does he go inside buildings without a mask? I see our mailman without one, but in this neighborhood all his deliveries are to outdoor mailboxes.

I'm in NY (not the City) and I do go outside when I'm alone without a mask as do many people in the neighborhood. Even when I go out to walk about dawn, people are great - without a word said when 2 walkers see that they will come close to one another if they stay on the sidewalk, one always moves into the street to pass.

If I ever thought I might be infected - even with the common cold, I'd wear a mask to go get my mail from the box in front of the house!

I assumed that the OP wanted to know if he was required to wear one. Many, many posters helpfully explained the circumstances when it would be required.

Mine doesn't either. I don't blame him. I guess you could call your post office and ask them.

Ours doesn't and he also doesn't wear gloves.

Is he driving or walking a route? I would think he would not need a mask if he stays in the truck all day.

Mine doesn't wear one either but he doesn't have to. Ohio is under a mask mandate but if you are outside and can social distance, a mask isn't required. Therefore, he doesn't have to wear one.
