It's great you were able to get to church and that your church members were so welcoming. That can help a lot when dealing with so many changes in your lives.

Hello my dear friends! As I sit here and look at my laptop I know in my heart that each one of you has prayed for us. I read and feel the support and love everyone has sent our way.
The last time I updated everyone we were going through a bump in the road. I can let you know that John has accepted the situation alittle more in the past month. We did have our second CT scan for the nodules in his lung. The results came back that they have not grown since the last CT scan in April.. That was wonderful news for us to hear. I think John is seeing that he is getting good news and blessings. He still uses the wheelchair but can walk some with the starter prosthetic leg using crutches.
One of the highlights for us was that we attended church together as a family. Our congregation was overwhelmed to see him. I did stand up and tell my church family how appreciative we were of all the out pouring of love and support. The same love and support I have felt from all of you.
I will keep you updated but cannot express my gratitude to everyone for walking with me on this journey.
@Tina From Georgia I think about you both and have you in my prayers. I pray that when John and you have trouble in the walk you two are on, that Jesus will carry you through.

How encouraging for you to see John's mindset change a bit towards acceptance of his circumstances.
It's hard to absorb that initial jolt of alarming news that makes you face reality, but with support and some time, the mind and body meet on the same page and figure out how to keep going.
Having a supportive church family is a true blessing. When you are inside church praying with others, you feel the warmth of that energy being put forth in prayer, and on days when you're not there but know your name is being lifted up, you still feel energized.
As I wrote to another poster a few days ago, if God brings you to it, He will bring you thru it. Stay strong and determined to keep going!

UPDATE 2023:
WOW!!! where has all the time gone, I wanted to touch base with you sweet people on where we are on this journey. It has been 8 months since I last posted.
I really don't know where to start...If you are reading this then you know the beginning of our story.
The last post things seemed to be going well for us. Once the cold weather came it seemed to change everything. John started to withdraw and soon became depressed. There were some really low days for both of us . I tell you ths so you will understand why I have not posted sooner.
For the past several months we have had some rough times Those days our faith was tested. Guess what those days are still here. I know my post seems different than before but I am mentally and physically tired. We go next month to have his nodules checked in his lungs. It is constantly on our minds what the CT Scan will show.
I need to ask my dear friends to say a prayer for me and John, I know God has a plan but things are wearing me down. I really do appreciate your love and support.

@Tina From Georgia, with all you have on your mind thank you for keeping us updated. So sorry you didn't have more positive news.
Sending prayers and hope for some relief from the stress.
Perhaps the the coming of spring, the warmer weather and sunshine, things may become a little more brighter.

I am praying that both you and your dearest husband have unexpected strength and courage flow into you.
May his scan be better than expected! You are on one of life's most difficult journeys. I know because I have been on a similar one in my lifetime.

@Tina From Georgia Prayers for you and John .Praying that God will bring healing and comfort to you both, that depression and anxiety would give way to peace and calm, that fear would disappear, and that you both will have renewed strength . HE is always with you.HE goes before us,he stands beside us and he is behind us. "Be not discouraged, be not dismayed"He has not given us a spirit of fear but of power , love and soundmind.
If things have become really difficult for you to manage, you may want to check into getting a sitter a few hours occassionally so you can just rest or have time to taske care of yourself. Take care.

@Tina From Georgia :You and John are in my thoughts and prayers. Tina if you haven't already : Please ask someone to help you . The caregiver needs help or more help. You need time for yourself to rest, do something special for yourself. You need a mental and physical vacation. Hopefully you already have help with necessities like grocery shopping, cooking and cleaning house. 🤗❤
