MY BROTHER IN LAW'S COOKIES FINALLY CAME!

WEEKS ago my dear BIL ordered 2 boxes of Cheryl's Cookies, our families love them.

WELL, according to UPS the 2 boxes were delivered...to whom we have NO idea! Did they go to the wrong house (likely) or did one of the UPS people abscond with them (I hope not).

So he called the Q and CS was wonderful! They re-ordered for him at NO additional charge, though by now they were on Wait List.

They came today and now I have a lovely box of cookies. Customer Service was wonderful.

I wonder about the people somewhere who are eating their ill gotten gain...ah well.

lovemygrands, maybe they were delivered to the wrong house, it's happened to me. But they were maybe left at a door you don't use often. This time of year I think U.P.S. gets Christmas help and they leave my packages at my side door. Keep A watch this time of year the most.

[ Edited ]

Maybe someone in need ended up with the cookies.  I'm now recalling, many years ago (maybe fifteen or so), I was in our supermarket early in the morning.  About 7am.  Anyway, as I browsed around the bakery dept., a very elderly, slim lady, heavy dark coat, was in the far corner, eating as many bakery pastry items as possible in the bulk/self-serve bins area.  She looked very hungry, and I walked away, left her alone. Heart    ....( p.s. She was very careful to not touch the other pastries; used the proper utensil to pick up each pastry, etc.  She formed a small pile of pastries in the bakery bag, and ate from them. Just thought I'd mention that.)

I always think the packages make it to the neighborhood but not the right house.  I don't know all of my neighbors so maybe some might just keep whatever comes to their house.  We received a package recently that belonged to a family about two blocks away.  We called them and told them it was here.  Never know where the packages might end up this time of year, part time help and busy busy.

Re: MY BROTHER IN LAW'S COOKIES FINALLY CAME!

As I stated in my post, they may have been delivered to the wrong house.

I knowj all my sis and BIL's neighbors and my own. Whenever there is (rarely) a mis-delivery, whoever got the package by mistake always brings it to the right place.

The ONLY door that can be reached is the front door. There is a 7 foot locked gate to the back yard and the 2 sliders on both floors.

Just an unsolved mystery Smiley Happy

I don't look at the address on packages that come to my door unless upon opening I discover something clearly meant for some other. This time of year when people get more packages, some gifts, the person may have thought the cookies were meant for them. Iet us know if your BIL gets a mystery thank you note.

OccasionalRain:  'You know', that's sometimes true.  'Looking back', I sometimes received food packages, and spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out exactly who sent those packages.   Finally, after much time looking, a small name of the sender somewhere on or in the package.  Although I must admit that I always first look to see if my name is on the package.  Sometimes the print is very, very small, though.  But I can only imagine that maybe someone with limited eyesight would have a difficult time. That, or possibly tweens/teens grabbed the package and hit the goodie treasure in their rooms, lol.

Re: MY BROTHER IN LAW'S COOKIES FINALLY CAME!

In our development we have seasonal UPS help who deliver packages in a golf cart.

Three times in the past week he has made a mistake with our address.  Two of our packages were left elsewhere and one left with us that belonged to someone else.

My husband stopped him yesterday to tell him about the mistakes and turns out he is having trouble reading the names and numbers on the mailboxes.  The names are written in cursive and he cannot read cursive and the numbers give him a problem.

I certainly don't think he should be denied a job, but UPS must have a position for him that does not involve reading.
