Girl power?  I have a serious issue with that tag because women can be abusers as well in the workplace last I checked.

@SydneyH, I think that we are all aware that women can be abusers, but come on. The vast majority of sexual harassment  is perpetrated by men. That is a fact.

As for "girl power"? I don't like it either because I don't like buzz words.

I don't know it it be a fact, quite frankly I think it's underreported.  Buzz words in regards to this topic imo are inappropriate, period.

Sorry, but I don’t see a woman or a man flirting to get to the top in the same category as assault or rape.

reportedly, Batali was caught on video and had a special room in a restaurant to take women. It was called The Rape Room.  Google brings it up.

@Noel7  I agree. But where does sleeping with someone to get to the top rate in the scheme of things?  I've seen a bit of that in my day.

I inferred that @Goldengate8361 was speaking of men who are harassers. I seriously doubt that she was talking about all men.

I have no doubt that Goldengate8361 was not talking about all men.  Some people can't read between the lines and she did not deserve the rude remarks made regarding her post.

@Lindsays Grandma  It would have been easy to say "some men" "the men who are guilty".  It's time to stop labeling people like that.

Re: Not knowing the facts...

It might be helpful to look up the stats on forcible rape by women and compare it to forcible rape by men.

Actually you don't know that.  How about unreported incidents?  If women are hesitant to come forward, what about males?  I doubt they would be eager to accuse someone of that either.

Sleeping with someone to get a job or promotion isn’t in the same category as rape or assault @Sooner. Not even close.

@Preds I agree with your comments. Has anyone thought that men in high places may quit hiring women to avoid accusations.I've asked every woman I know, we have all be treated inapropriatly at least once if not even more often. Remember all the stories about guys acting out at holiday parties? Many companies are cancelling them.

Girl power is great. More men need to be fired.

I think that is a terrible thing to say.  To lable "men" is not right because there are a lot of wonderful men out there.  And a lot of women who will do a lot of things to get to the top too.

It isn't a man or woman probelm; it is a problem of people who have no morals.  Let's stop labeling people by race, gender, nationality, etc.

Just how many great men do you know?  I'll bet a lot of them!  They far outweigh the stinkers.

Beautifully said!  I’m tired of the man haters.  I’m also concerned the precedence this is causing,  Just because a woman accuses a man doesn’t mean it’s true.   I watched a friend accuse  her ex husband  of harming their child in order to get full custody.  Once it got it got to court she told me he never harmed their daughter.  So,  women do lie.

The rumors of MB have been a well known fact in the NY area for a long time. Where there is smoke there is fire. I'm not speaking of everyone at this time, only MB.
