Girl power is great. More men need to be fired.

I think that is a terrible thing to say.  To lable "men" is not right because there are a lot of wonderful men out there.  And a lot of women who will do a lot of things to get to the top too.

It isn't a man or woman probelm; it is a problem of people who have no morals.  Let's stop labeling people by race, gender, nationality, etc.

Just how many great men do you know?  I'll bet a lot of them!  They far outweigh the stinkers.

Beautifully said!  I’m tired of the man haters.  I’m also concerned the precedence this is causing,  Just because a woman accuses a man doesn’t mean it’s true.   I watched a friend accuse  her ex husband  of harming their child in order to get full custody.  Once it got it got to court she told me he never harmed their daughter.  So,  women do lie.

@GSPgirl

So any woman who knows that rape can happen is a man hater?

I’m pretty sure we all know there are women who lie and men who lie.

Exactly.  Painting all men with the same broad brush is unfair.  And there are women who sexually harrass men.  So you're right - It's not about being male or female.  It's about people - both men and women - abusing their power and acting inappropriately.

Sorry @SusieQ  When I see terms like girl power, it give me chills. I don't think like that . I think in terms of fairness, and pitting one sex over the other, is not fair nor just

It reeks of  disdain for men, as far as I am concerned. I am not a feminist, I am a human freedom person. Not humanist ,because I am a religious person

I read all of the posts. I do not think anyone was labeling all men.

I think there are alot of great men in the world.

My dad, my husband, and my son are examples of great men. I had a boss who I felt was by far the fairest, kindest boss I ever worked for. He treated everyone with kindness and respect.

My thoughts though are I am not one to blame the victims. I have not heard or read any of the victims who have blamed all men, or labeled all men or have even bashed all men. Some could even have great men in their lives right now standing besides them and supporting them. They have come forward to name only their accusers. To share their stories, so that perhaps maybe an end can come to how women and men are treated. We cannot forget there have been male victims who have come forward as well.

I think part of the reason it has taken so long for so many victims to come forward is just this. Not being believed. Or worse to be judged or labled themselves. I bet for some it was very hard to come forward. Some probably felt shame or that they were to blame.

I try to keep an open mind and not be judgemental of people. Unless I have walked in their shoes, then I do not know what they are feeling or going through.

I have a real problem with women crying about abuse months, even many years later. Why didn't they report it at the time?? They come out now because its "the" thing to do. If I ever was harassed or abused, that guy wouldn't see the light from that day forward. Period.

I'm just remembering the horrific period of time when teachers at pre-schools were accused of molestation all over this country mainly because the experts told us that these children could not possibly come up with the stories they were telling if they were not true.  Meanwhile reputations were ruined, people fired, arrests made and then....  other "professiionals" said to hold up a minute,  went back into the mire and realized that many of the children were not molested.  It was quite a period.....

I remember this time.  It was horrible.  I bolded the above.  So far, there's men that have fessed up now.  It was a horrible time, in many ways!

Now Dustin Hoffman.  Not saying the women is not telling the truth, but forty years ago, at age 15 or 16, why was she going to meet him in a hotel room, because he was Dustin Hoffman a popular movie star?  He was wrong for taking advantage and she for going to a hotel room by herself without her parent present. They were both using one another. Now forty years later they come out.

When I went to a hotel room to meet a man, it wasn't, to discuss the weather.  If it was for a job interview, I met at his place of business.   If his place off business was a hotel room, bring a friend or a parent if you are under age.

Read the OP.

do you need more proof than the man himself admitting to wrongdoing?

Please don't conflate coerced children with adult women .

The incidents are not related at all.

I'm talking about mass hysteria and it is related.  Of course the ones admitting to wrong doing are guilty,  Never said they weren't  There has to be more to this than just #me too!
