Saw a show on Netflix yesterday about a family with the head restaurateur being a lady by the name of Ella Brennan.  It was interesting. I don't know if we have anyone who may know of this lady, or her other restaurants?  I've never been there, but she got Paul P. (long last name, who did a lot of spices) him there for awhile.  I think she helped launch a few chefs.  It was interesting to learn about. Maybe someone from that area has more info to share on this story?

It is Paul Prudhomme. A world class chef. He is the one who developed the idea of blackening food. Brennens is the restaurant that served Bananas Foster.

They own a bunch of restaurants, including Commander's Palace and Brennan's. It's Ella Brennan by the way.

BTW, Chef Paul Prudhomme passed away in October 2015.  His television show continues to be run on PBS.  And his spices are still sold locally. I would assume they are available elsewhere as well. His twin brother Saul was running that operation.   He and Justin Wilson were my favorites, but John Besh (a younger Chef) has recently become a favorite.
