Long overdue changes

Hopefully the new CEO is just beginning the necessary changes needed at QVC. These forums are outdated. For years, Lisa R, Patti Reilly and Shawn have been beaten up on unmercifully. And the posts were always allowed to stand. And yet, if anyone dared to say anything about Carolyn or Antonella, their posts were taken down immediately. The reasons why were quite obvious. While everyone has their favorites, hosts, vendors, etc. the praise for certain vendors in fear they would be let go was so over the top, along with the skewed ratings for those vendors was just absurd. Now, almost a year after one particular vendor has been let go, along with his outdated fashions and gaudy jewelry, there is still a forum in that name.

Let's hope there are other vendors and a few hosts who have overstayed their time are the next to go. I also look forward to his addressing the much needed changes in how to bring in new customers. Easy pay is a joke. If I can't afford to pay for something up front, why would I buy it? If I need 5 or 6 months to pay something off, clearly I couldn't afford it to begin with. They need to start offering free shipping after spending a certain dollar amount. QVC is the only online shopping I'm aware of that doesn't do this. There is an incentive in that for me, not easy pay.

Let's get on board with this, and continue to request new changes, not continue whining about things that are almost laughable at this point.

@bohogypsy I think you're operating in an alternate universe. Derogatory posts about Shawn allowed to stand??? She has broken all records for posts removed as being "unkind". There's a reason Antonella posts have been removed. I don't see any unfavorable host posts staying long.

I'm sure the new CEO, an expert in industrial hardware, has all sorts of constructive ideas on how to run this business, including how to manage unpopular hosts.

@bohogypsy The Antonella posts were removed after all the arguments about why she was fired. Her cult persists even to last week trying to revive her here.

Your "welcome" changes means I for one will be gone...I can shop in plenty of other places with free & faster shipping.

I wholeheartedly agree with your post about comments regarding hosts but realistically QVC is now overpriced, same stuff, endless beauty & clothing, poor quality, slow shipping using USPS, etc. -- hosts ridiculous sales pitches don't influence me to buy nor do I "watch" often.

What they need IMO is a "reality check" who their customer base is. I know many younger women raising families and QVC is not where they shop. They are smarter consumers and other retailers offer much better incentives.

Perhaps for you EZ pay is not a incentive but millions of others it is. As for "free shipping" they makes millions on just shipping and the return fees. They'll never compete with "A" or any other retailer with a good business model.

There are many online retailers now to choose from including incentives to buy from them. maybe 30 years ago tv shopping was the "thing" not anymore.

The comments on these Forums isn't the problem it starts at the "top". Once you lose customer base it's all downhill just look at the major B&M stores who have closed and it's not from COVID it's simply poor management.

Changes to QVC were expected when the company was purchased and Qurate was formed. When the long time logo was swapped out for one which looks like a power signaled the Q was moving into the digital age.

QVC has over 3 mil followers on FB alone, that's not including, Instagram, Twitter and Youtube.

Change has come. Like any publicly traded company, Qurate loyalty is to its shareholders.
