i find that my foods stay fresher in the lock n locks. i do have some rubbermaid, but i am now trying to only buy lock n lock for my storage containers. i have not found anything else that keeps the food inside virtually leakproof and safe if it is tipped over or dropped on the floor. have i had any break?......only a very few over the course of many years. yes, i am addicted. lol
i am also on auto delivery for the decorated set that they offered last year. cant wait for my spring set to arrive.

Yes, Laura, I would like to know the answer to that as well. I have a lot of plastic containers that I just keep using and they are fine, but something about lock n lock keeps "speaking" to me. LOL
Anyway, I just went ahead and ordered my first set. I got the red. ![]()
edited to add: @sunshine45, thank you for answering that. We posted at the same time so I didn't see it originally. I appreciate your input!

I am a huge fan of these plastic containers, and am very tempted to order a set. I have so many other plastics right now, but I like giving them away when I make something for others, so maybe I can justify the purchase.

I have been eliminating all plastics from my kitchen so I won't be buying these. Although the lids are plastic, I have bought what I guess is a L&L knock-off glass set of containers from Costco. I also bought other glass bowls with covers for food storage.
I do however, save the white plastic Chinese food containers in the event I want to send a guest home with something. But in my kitchen, nothing gets stored in plastic these days.

IF they had offered a bunch of lunch sized items (bowels, squares, salad dressing, fruit, etc) I would have been ALL OVER IT. But, these sizes do NOTHING for me and are not sizes I need.

@sunshine45 Thank you! I've been really considering buying the Genius freshener for the refrigerator for just that purpose for fruits and vegetables. If I can also have a container that will do the same thing, I get some of the difference between L&L and the others now. I appreciate you taking the time to help me!

@SahmIam Take a look at these K43323. I bought three sets this morning as I like to freeze small batches of pureed basil and extra viergin olive oil to add to soups and for sauces. A caller asked Chris about mini containers, so she said that she would put in a request for those.

@sunshine45 You mentioned Rubbermaid, which is what I used for everything before Lock & Lock, and then got rid of most of it, or what was left of it. It served me well for decades. ![]()

Most of mine are red, also! I remember when they first started colors that I was kind of bummed because there was no red. I got the first tangerine and it's lovely, but then I went with mostly red (ok, and a little purple) after they broadened the color spectrum.
Just have to watch it now that they sometimes have similar colors. There have been colors that look pretty much red but if they have another color name they are tonally incompatible.
