I don't mind Lester, he reads the news well,  but he has no charisma. I like charisma it helps to make the news less appalling.

I think he has plenty of charisma.  He's exceptional.

i think brian williams had the exceptional charisma, but lester has his own brand of charisma that he brings to the news.  he's more quiet and unassuming a person that gets the job done.  that's one of the reasons  he's so good at his job.

I've always been a big fan of Lester Holt and I do wish him well.  As far as Brian Williams is concerned, I liked him but I'll always remember what my father always said to me "one of the most important things you have in life is your good name, don't do anything to tarnish it".  That says it all for me and my thoughts on Brian Williams.

Lester used to be one on the top anchors here in Chicago for many years, enjoyed him! Happy for his network success and his son is currently an anchor here in Chicago on the morning news show. Just as great as his Dad!

I think very few people still watch the evening news.  Being a network anchor isn't the plum assignment it used to be.  Nevertheless, the face of a network news division needs to be credible and Lester is; Brian Williams was not.

People "wrote home" about Brian W.  - and not in a good way. 

Lester is solid, personable, credible and a good broadcaster.  I say "what's not to like?"  News anchors shouldn't be "personalities" which they have become.  That distracts from the news they are reading to us.
