I'm always checking that info online with meats...last I checked 2-3 days for everything cooked is a good rule of thumb.

I do think if you have a lot, you could freeze it...but double check me on Google for that.

We love turkey sandwiches , and since I only roast a turkey breast , 3 days sounds about right.

We'll cook ours Thursday morning, and if there is any left by Sunday afternoon, we'll freeze it. We've done that before with good results.

Sometimes I go ahead & freeze half the turkey after it's cooked, when it's just the two of us.

When we cook a whole turkey for the two of us, we freeze quite a lot of it in servings-for-two sizes. It provides us with a lot of easy meals. I also prepare extra dressing and freeze it in two-portion sizes to serve with the frozen turkey. I keep cans of cranberry sauce to open for our frozen dinner.

As for keeping leftovers, we relish eating them until they are gone. That is usually Saturday. We enjoy the Thanksgiving fare so much we have it again Christmas Day.

@amyb  Cooked turkey is one food I can't stand after it's been frozen.  The flavor becomes very stong and it seems dry.

I love turkey!  I'm a breast girl.  Smiley Very Happy

I'll eat it for a couple of days, maybe, then I packet it up and vac seal several packets to put in freezer.

I love a grilled turkey and cheese sandwich or I do a few other things or just eat the turkey.  I also love a turkey and butter sandwich (just those two things!) on my fav whole grain w/seeds bread.

@nana59  We eat a few sandwiches, but I mainly bake the leftovers into other dishes. Our favorites are turkey shepherds pie and turkey tetrazzini. Then I cook out the carcass and make some kind of turkey soup to freeze in batches. I like turkey corn soup and turkey tortellini soup. So, I think I can stretch the turkey out for at least a week.

I've been known to eat it for far too long.😲

I love turkey and dressing and can't get enough of it! Both my husband and I like leftovers (reruns, as my dad called them) and the holiday meal reappears on our table for a good long while. Bring it on!!! 🦃

Hey Chicky!Heart

I also like to make turkey salad (your favorite chicken salad recipe works!), just using turkey instead of chicken for sandwiches.
