I was looking at the description of the leather handbag on one of the other stations.  The bag (which was noted to be imported) was described as leather, but under the description of leather was a notation that the skins could come from animals, "including but not limited to" (cows, pigs, sheep).  My cut and paste disappeared so I my wording may not be exact.

The phrase (including but not limited to) bothered me.   I may not be consistent, but there are certain animals I would never, ever want to be part of my handbag.

I feel very strongly that the customer should be given full information as to what they are purchasing - and to make an informed purchase.  Am I the only one?

It's just a guess, but when that's what they tell me, then that's what I think they know and what I use to make my decision.

When it's something I feel strongly about, I can back away,  there's always an alternative product.

I don't much care about the company's reasoning -  whether that's all they know, all they care to know, or all they're willing to admit the primary selling knows or is willing to swear to.  Doesn't matter - they can't tell me what they don't know and if I don't trust the company, I back off.  I've also learned to pick my battles - different things undoubtedly matter to me than might matter to someone else.

Not just the other channel, but the Q also describes much of it's leather items in the same way.  I do agree that it's something I'd want to know much more about as to what kind of leather or what kind of animal gave up it's life for the product.

There is a difference between a animal killed for fur and nothing else (mink for one) and a hide where the animal is consumed and the hide is a by product used instead of throwing it away.

is it the TS bag on the other channel? the web description on those JM bags always state that there is a possibility the leather in those bags may be comprised of "pig/cow/lamb" . i don't know how thet are selling over 40,000 of those things. they always get ton of horrible reviews

I agree that there is a difference;  I have worn "leather" shoes, which I assumed were made from cow hide.  Although in a country where i.e., cats are on the menu, I would never buy something made with cat skin.  (Love my kitties too much.)

Yes.

I found all the zippers and compartments attractive - until I read the description. The description is not limited to pig/cow/ lamb.  The "including but not limited to" is the part I find disturbing.

They are HORRIBLE bags.

The products that Iman sells on her own are quite nice - when she pairs up with Joy - it's junk.

Just my opinion!

I've crossed it off my list already; but if I'm interested in buying a product, I do like to consider the opinions of others as to quality when making my decision to purchase.
