I have used Costco Kirkland free and clear liquid detergent for quite a while! I use Shout Gel for removing stains and spots!! It all works well together for me! And I use good old Clorox bleach for whites!! ![]()

Nellie's laundry soda. It's so concentrated and doesn't contain fillers, water, etc. You only use a teaspoon.

I don't use the pods as I wash different size loads. I add a different amount depending on how dirty the loads are. Towels get very little detergent.
I usually buy a large jug of detergent at Costco. I like All Free & Clear, Kirkland brand has a lavender scented dye free one that I like. Right now I'm using Arm & Hammer. It's a yellow jug and I can't seem to use it up. I've had it a long time.
The grocery store had Ajax detergent for a couple of bucks for a small jug. I bought it and was not happy with it. The detergent is watery, I have to add a lot to the wash load.

I used to use Tide. Until I started buying Nellies (HSN). This stuff is way better than Tide IMO.
When I first switched over, I was amazed to see how much residue came out of my clothes. And I never used dryer sheets or fabric softener. Both are really bad for your clothes. I use lamb wool dryer balls in my dryer. They work great....and there are no chemicals in them or fragrances to coat your clothes.
All good stuff!

My washing machine manufacturer (Miele) recommended Persil products at the time I purchased it 12 years ago. For many years had to return to where I bought my machine in order to purchase it.
I use the Persil that is available in US now, but I see that Miele now has their own detergent. I believe the manufacturer is the same, but not sure about the formula.

What is the difference between the colored egg and the white egg? I just leave the egg in the washing machine and just throw the clothes in and wash them. I do like the egg. I also have Nellies from HSN and like that also. I don't think I will be buying regular laundry detergent again.
I also use the dryer eggs from HSN and like those.
@saltysails, the pellets are different for the white egg, so it might have extra brightening in it. BTW, do you think a little bleach will hurt the white load?

I think the bleach could disolve the pellets, so I wouldn't use it. What pellets are different? I thought you put one package of white and one of the black into the each egg. I don't see any different pellets, other than the white and black. There were only two black and more of the white.

I threw the white egg in with (predominantly) light clothing and even a single black shirt that snuck in and they were fine. There is no bleach in it; just natural whiteners..
My husband is a truckdriver so he's taking the white egg on the road. I could never accumulate enough whites to do an all white load...
I like the Nelly's and the S20 sheets too but my husband just has to have scent in his 'clean' clothes so the eco eggs are perfect...although the scent is nowhere near the strength of the chemical laden brands...
