@Chihuahuamom,

I have never heard of washing clothes in white vinegar.   I always use white vinegar in my rinse cycles to kill any soap residue in the clothes and avoid stiffness that comes with product buildup in the fibers.   White vinegar cuts the soap scum buildup in the washer and drain line.

I always have a variety and never use the same one repeatedly.   Right now I have Tide, Tide Simply Clean Sensitive, Era, Arm and Hammer, Purex, and Method.

All Mighty Pacs, Free and Clear for us.

I also use Tide Boost Pacs along with them. Free and clear for those also. Very hard to find now. I get them from Amazon.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Redtop, I hadn't either but I read it on Facebook the other day. You know everything on the FB/internet is true !!!  Woman WinkThought I would try it and did a load of towels yesterday with just vinegar.. Got nervous about whether they were really clean and washed again with a detergent. One of these days I will get brave...............

Just the 2 of us here too.

I use all kinds of laundry detergent.

I have found Tide 4 in 1 my favorite (but it is expensive).

if you can get your hands on Wisk that is another good laundry soap.

I use pods because it is easier for me to store

I love Persil.  Get it at Target, Walmart, or grocery store.  Great cleaning.  If you don't have super dirty clothes I like the Ecoegg.  The other shopping channel has them or the online store that has Prime.  They work very well.

I think the bleach could disolve the pellets, so I wouldn't use it.  What pellets are different?  I thought you put one package of white and one of the black into the each egg.  I don't see any different pellets, other than the white and black.  There were only two black and more of the white.

@saltysails, there are two slightly different colors: white and a pale yellow. In the directions it will explain which goes in which. You will want to make sure to get the right ones in the white egg for brightness in your whites.

Read the instructions, @saltysails, and see if you can see the difference. If the same, call customer service and they will send you the pale yellow.
