From Variety:
"Comedian and actor Arte Johnson, Emmy-winning star of 1960s and ’70s comedy sketch show “Laugh-In” died July 3 in Los Angeles of heart failure. He was 90 and had been battling bladder and prostate cancer."

My generation of entertainers is dying --- so sad. I grew up watching the BEST of TV and now tv is full of reality shows - how many do we need? News TV - So repetitious and FAKE!!!! So few interesting programming - and very few REAL actors!!!!

Wasn't he great with Ruth Buzzi on Laugh-In? She's still living by the way (82 y.o.) and posted this on Twitter:
"Thank you for a wonderful half-century of friendship. I could not have shared the spotlight with a nicer guy. Rest in peace. And yes, Arte Johnson, I believe in the hereafter..."
I don't know what Arte did professionally, before or after Laugh-In. Will have to look him up.

I loved Laugh In, it was great so many talented people. I still laugh when Sammy Davis Jr would walk across stage saying "here come the judge, here come the judge" LOL the humor on that show was so simple and very funny, Ruth Buzzi with Arte Johnson timeless, Lilly Tomlin as Earnestine the phone operator, and Edith Ann. So many funny sketches.

When people live to 90, I say they had a long, long life. My Aunt is 96 and still going strong. May Arte rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear this @Pearlee , thank you so much for posting. He was my dad's and my favorite on Laugh In. We couldn't wait for the end to hear that week's "Very Interesting" line was. RIP Artie and thank you so much for all the laughs! ![]()
