We buy a lot from Land's End!  And also (summer clothes) from Old Navy!  I probably buy most from LL Bean, then Land's End, lastly and not nearly as much as I used to Talbots.

LL Bean has the type of clothes we two retired ones wear most.  I LOVE their casual pants, especially the cotton ones and the ripstop ones!

@Linda0215 agree!  I ordered several of the 3/4 zip shaker style sweaters from LE the last couple of years.  And a Valentine's Day one last year.  Most of them were about $35ish...saw KG last night and I think hers were anywhere from $68-$78...crazy.  Just nice to know there are choices and I am a petite and almost all of LE pieces come in petite size including sweaters!

The only time I shopped Lands End is usually for henley tops. I have never seen anything that interested me. We would get the occassional snail mail catalogs and I'd skim through them too.

The other retailers I would buy clothes for DH are LL Bean and Tommy Bahama.

Years ago...actually decades ago now, it was Sears, JC Penney and Cabela's.

Cabela's quality tanked, so had to stop ordering...

Now my mind is going down a rabbit hole...Ha! This subject reminds me of those massive catalogs from Sears and JC Penney ages ago... Smiley Very Happy

Re: Land's End Shopping

Lands End is my staple for affordable and reliable clothing.  My favorites:

1.  5-pocket Active pants.  The Perfect Travel Pants.   Always look presentable, comfortable and those pockets are essential when traveling.

2.   Insulated  Waterproof Squall Parkas or Stadium Coats.  So many great features for a very reasonable price.  A winter staple. I always travel with one in my car for inclement conditions.

3.   Half-zip fleece top.  Comfortable and in good color selection

4.   Cotton Flannet sleep shirt or pajamas.  Generous sizing with quality flannel.

I like LL Bean more than Land's End.

My son and husband have been wanting better-quality clothes because lately things are much poorer quality.  I bought them some LL Bean items as well as Lands End for Christmas.  To my surprise the LE are far better quality and don't shrink or pill like LL Bean which is way more expensive.

The problem is that a brands gets known as being "the best" (like LL Bean). They then ride on their reputation all the while lowering the quality of fabrics to cut costs.

Same thing happens with appliances.  Speed Queen has been known as "the best" for washers and dryers but lately their quality has also gone downhill.

@tansy Me too. I find them to have much better quality with their Supima tees then Landsend. I prefer the Starfish pants from Landsend which fit me much better than the same type of pant from Bean.

@busymom22 What problems have you had with your Speed Queen?  I'm curious because my Speed Queen washer is less than two years old and so far it's working great.  I definitely feel that I got my money's worth.

@Seminole2 Me too.  I think I got the same sweater in a petite as well.  Loved the quality of it and how well it fits me.  Not to mention the price!
