DEER extra Thursday 01/30/2025

Looks like the antler shed is starting.  Don't know where he lost it, but not in our yard.

It looks so painful. I've never seen it when one loses one at a time. That must feel so strange too!

Wow.  I must have lost track of time.   I thought it was later they shed the antlers.

Thanks @MamaWick

Otherwise, you know I would ask.  Still learning.   Woman Happy   !

Nature lessons , always appreciated .  It does look awkward for the deer to have only one antler but I suppose it happens often and is part of their cycle.

There is a 8 pt buck that visits in my backyard and 1 day last week he had a full rack and the next day it was gone. I didn’t even recognize him. It just sheds like you said.

I wonder if his balance is thrown off slightly since both didn't fall off at the same time?

@MamaWick   Still handsome with only one antler.

Tonight around 10, Mr. Bucky was in our yard cleaning out the bird feeders. He was alone and enjoying himself.

Last week. We had a  variety of foot prints in the snow:  deer, bunnies, cats, skunk, squirrel, as well as a variety of birds.  ❤️
