The brands she likely refers to DID cheap out, BUT, here's the reality: prices of raw materials, taxes, etc...go up. The consumer will only spend so much on a product and if it gets too pricey, won't buy at all or will move to a cheaper brand. LR doesn't have the buying power that the Q does, so everything she buys is going to be much more expensive to begin with, then she adds her mark up. She has to try to convince people that what she sells is more uniques, better, etc...it's sales. Maybe that's not the best way to go about it and she'll learn the hard way.
I like the brands the Q sells. In fact, I just bought a bunch of lanterns that I didn't need, but I like them. Even if the brands cut corners here and there and I can still live with it, I appreciate that they try to keep the price point down. When and if the quality becomes an issue to the point where I feel I can no longer support them, I'll croos that bridge...when and if.
Personally, while I like LR and was sad when she left, I think her products are too kitchy and over priced.

I love sunrise and sunset photos.  Some are just more gorgeous depending on where you live.

Colleen Lopez on HSN often posts sunset pictures on her page. She lives right on the water in Florida and some of the pictures of the sunsets are breathtaking.  We don't see sunsets like that where I live.

@Lipstickdiva yes.  When a few people posted how they loved to see her chats, but please not while driving, other posters chastised them - saying the same "like you've never had a conversation while drivng."  You cannot make this stuff up.

@chrystaltree. Don't care about LR. Think it's disrespectful for a former host to bash a former employer. Posts about her & what she's selling on FB is no different than giving item #s for TSVs here which get poofed as well as some info about Evine & HSN.

Is it just me? Re today's offerings (which have not insta-sold BTW) - I was raised to view the *color* of 18K jewelry as fakety-fake costume jewelry, especially on larg(er) pieces, in the same way that a 10 carat "diamond" Diamonique is obviously fake. The reason is simply that the vast majority of people you come in contact with in your daily life cannot afford large quantities of pure 18K gold or 10 carat real diamonds.

Small, delicate pieces of vermeil and a 2 carat solitaire Diamonique I think many/most people wouldn't question, but much beyond that and to me, the person is advertising they wear costume jewelry.

The newest offerings are gold plated, not even vermeil (which has a mandatory composition of all sterling with a minimum thickness of gold or you can't call it vermeil) and contain stainless steel as well. The accents are czs. They are $300 apiece(!) for 18K plating on sterling & base metal, who knows how thick (or not thick). And, just IMO, from the photos, look like something you'd see in the Nordstrom or Macy's costume jewelry area sitting out on the counter.
