With all the viruses, hacking, etc., I just would be afraid to give out my credit card number and personal information on her website....for many websites, actually.  Maybe she will take checks, or money orders, lol.

OMG, LOL, I don't know.  Maybe that is the way she has to hold her head to look in that mirror to take a selfie.  But, I think Lisa is beautiful.  I do wish she would cut her bangs.  I think bangs would make her look so much younger and reduce that shine on her forehead.  Her forehead is really getting noticed and not in a good way.

Rough diamonds are unpolished, uncut and I believe unfaceted.  I think DeBeers put out a design a few years back.  Now, if they are real rough diamonds, I would not buy them from LR's website or any website as you want to see quality and be guaranteed they are real.  If the jewelry is just the look of rough diamonds, that's fine.  I really can't see her followers spending a large amount of money on real diamonds.  As far as the designs pictured...it's a tassel nothing exceptional...same for the earrings.  It is quite an undertaking to sell jewelry via a website if it is authentic.  S&H, insured delivery, returns and standing behind your line.

Stray, thank you.  You have made some excellent points.  As I said, I love Lisa and her designs.  Have many of her Christmas decor, but I would be afraid of ordering anything on her website if it is not secure and safe.  I know she has some sort of assistant helping her, but from what I have read here, her facebook chats have been problems with sound and video, so I don't know about ordering things from her website.

I wish her well, too, but I wonder if she has thought about the returns and how she would handle reimbursing customers.

@shell garden- I think she is smart in that she has a base of loyal consumers and I think they would purchase anything she sells in a costume line.  But, I think once you get into an expensive, authentic line, there are different issues, one being, ethical.  The bar is much higher when you sell diamonds and I don't think she has the expertise, knowledge or organization to pull it off.  Maybe her earrings are rough stones? Not rough diamonds? You also must consider the setting for a diamond and roughs are harder to set and the quality of the setting must be equal to the stone.  Even costume jewelry is expensive when done well and there is so much competition out there.  The tassel is out there already and a big trend. What makes her tassel better?   I think her fans would be the sole purchasers and that is a considerable number so she could turn a profit but, if her merchandise does not meet expectations, she can lose her base.  Also, I would think many of her fans may not have the disposable income to spend on expensive costume and certainly not unseen diamonds?  I wish her well as I would wish any entraprenuer.

ROTFL ... I think all selfies look that way.  Selfies should be banned. Smiley Wink LOL

Fate whispers to her, "You cannot withstand the storm." She whispers back, "I am the storm."

GOOD POINTS AGAIN, STRAY!!!!  I think Lisa will probably do well at first, but sadly, I don't think it will last.  Something just tells me this is "Plan B" and that "Plan A" did not pan out and she is just going with whatever she can at the moment just to not lose her base.

But, like I said, the fb page and her "vlogazine" is not getting alot of traffic lately.  I think she gets more traffic during her chats with friends or chats about the Voice tv show, but other than that, it has come to a crawl lately.  I think her FB people are getting a little tired of the sunrise, sunsets and food posted.  It does not keep people's interest very long and I think alot of the posters just post to keep her page going somewhat.  It is almost as if she has nothing interesting to say.

I wish Lisa would consider going to a shopping network like HSN because she wouldn't have to worry about the shipping, returns, etc., as much as she would if people purchased from only her site.

The tassel is certainly nothing new.  I have three of them already and do not need anymore.  If her prices are ridiculous and can not compete with other sites, it won't last long.

You are so right, GCR.  And a closeup.  But, I guess she isn't willing to give too much away.  I wish her well, I really do.  But, I think she may get alot of sales at first, but just might taper off, especially if it is priced too high or the quality is just not there.

I was amazed at the low number of her people posting there now.  She might get around 1-200 posts each pictures (video chats seem to bring in more posts), but that is not alot really.  Alberti has only been at the Q, I think about 3 years, yet he has more "likes" than Lisa does on her facebook.  Now that was surprising to me.  I love Alberti.

@shell garden- you are right....I don't do FB but do look occasionally, public figure.  That is not a lot of people even if everyone made a purchase which they won't, you have production, insurance, returns....maybe she doesn't need the income but wishes to remain relevant and it is a hobby of sorts?  If she is relying on a big profit, I think she will be disappointed.  I love Alberti too!  I wish he had a home decor show; he is elegant, classy and not overdone.  The decor shows now are so boring!

Stray, I know I won't be purchasing.  Like I said, I would be afraid of hackers on her website and it not being safe.  Besides, I have enough jewelry to open my own store and do not need anymore.

I do not think Lisa needs the money right now, but she is 50 and even though she probably saved alot of money and probably has already paid off her house, that money does not last forever, especially the traveling and high end design fashions she loves to buy.  I wish her well, but I do not think her followers will keep her in the style she is accustomed to.

Two things make jewelry "worth it" for me.

One is obviously intrinsic value -  would I be able to sell the piece or its parts later and make a profit.  With the exception of my engagement ring, I have never owned a piece of jewelry with good intrinsic value --and that includes the gold I sold when gold prices were high.  I would still have been better off putting that money into other investments.

So that brings me to my second value -  do I like the piece and expect to wear it enough.  That's the real jewelry value for me -- and I've had that value from my favorites in gold and diamonds, I've had that value from artisan designed jewelry even more expensive than my gold and diamonds, and I've had that value from cheap strands of beads purchased at thrift shops.

Each of us has to know what makes something worthwhile to us.  Will Lisa's rough diamonds be worth it to me.  If they turn out to have jewelry value to me, the answer is maybe.  I do not expect they will have enough intrinsic value to make them any kind of investment for me.  I just haven't seen that working for me --and because I'm already old, nothing in jewelry is likely to increase enough to make me money.  I'd just have to want to wear them.
