Re: Kristine Zell leaving QVC

I'm only familiar with the "veteran" hosts so the only one I know of who's leaving is Antonella.  With only the QVC channel there's no need for so many people.  I wish them all well but not really surprised.

Re: Kristine Zell leaving QVC

I don't find the removal of this group to be a loss. Yes, it's a shame for anyone to lose their job, not saying that. I'm saying that none of these individuals every impressed me when I would see them air. *shrugs*

I do believe that QVC (as are many companies) have discovered they can make just as much money MINUS the number of employees they once used. Cutting the fat, if you will. A few can bring in the big bucks so why keep the others. Same with staffing: if 3 camera people did a great job that used to take 10, why keep the extra 7? Ka-ching! Keep that money in our pockets!

They could cut out quite a few more and it wouldn't hurt their sales.

KZ being cut was the most obvious. I imagine Elise Ivy is on the chopping block, too as she was always on the lesser viewed Q channels.

I think we will see more hosts exit- including veterans.

I am very surprised that QVC let Gabrielle Kerr go after 12 years of good service. She is a lovely person.

I thought she was one of the better hosts, too.  I will admit to never seeing a show with Ms. Zell or Ms. Ivy.

Re: Kristine Zell leaving QVC

I once watched an entire hour thinking I was watching Stacey only to find out it was Kristine Zell.  I'm fairly positive I would have continued to make the same mistake whenever I would see either one of them.  Rarely saw either of them on air (I don't watch ITKWD)

The least prepared host, in my opinion, is Julia Cearley. By comparison Kristine excelled in preparation.

Re: Kristine Zell leaving QVC

I just saw that Antonella said that she is definitely leaving after 18 years? Was that her choice? I am shocked, she is a great force on the Q. What is actually going on here? I thought that the Q was gaining more customers because of covid?

@Krimpette You know I have only seen her maybe 2 times myself. I don't watch too much QVC anymore though, but sometimes since working from home I will leave in on in the background..I don't know much about her at all, but at least now she will have more time home with her baby girl! I really don't think hosting is as easy as some of these hosts make it seem.

Whenever someone is laid off - they always say they want to spend time with their family. They'll all be available in a New York Minute looking for a new job!!!!
