I actually detest Kohls cash anyhow but I won't get into all that again because people are probably sick of reading about it. LOL

Yep. I won't turn it down and throw it away but it is a vicious cycle. coupon/cash to get me back in store or online.

I shop sale prices, 30% off, free shipping, Kohl's Cash . . .and now 8% ebates (was 3%).

Last batch of Kohl's Cash . . . I just bought each kid some Nike shorts and bit the bullet and paid shipping . . . so free shorts minus the shipping. IF I had drove to the store to spent it . . . I would have spent similar amount in gas PLUS my time there & back.

People abused it too and that is now why you have to exchange for something the EXACT SAME PRICE or else you lose the Kohl's Cash when you return something same as you lose it IF you return a purchase that it was earned with.

Almost more trouble than it's worth . . . almost.

They should enforce their expiration dates on coupons. As their pricing does change depending on promotions going on . . . so not really fair to wait for price to drop and then use an expired coupon to drop it even further. But while I don't have to like the pricing games they, Macy's, Belk's, Bloomingdale's and others play with their prices/coupon discounts . . . that is what they do. I just have to time my purchases for what works best for me.

Qwachertoo, I'm with ya. I won't turn down the Kash and I do use it but it bugs me. Just give me the $10.00 off my $50.00 purchase to begin with. They give you this money which makes you go back in the store and spend even more money with them. And I would suspect that more often than not, most people end up spending more than the $10.00 or whatever it is they received in cash. I'm actually not a huge Kohls shopper anymore.

It's like Walgreens now and their rewards card. They put in their ad that if you buy say toothpaste, they will give you a $2.00 coupon to use on your next purchase so it's like getting the toothpaste for $1.00. No it's not. I paid $3.00 for the toothpaste and now I have a $2.00 coupon that expires in 2 or 3 days so I have to buy more stuff to use my $2.00 coupon!!! {#emotions_dlg.blink}

I totally agree about the Kohls cash. It is a revolving door. Besides owning most things in Kohls, lol, it was tiresome. I got so burnt out on Kohls that its been about a year since I even stepped in one. This week was the first time in a long time.

I never tried to use a Kohl's cash coupon that was expired. I liked getting them though because if there was nothing I wanted to use it on I could always get a pair or two of underwear totally free. Or socks. I never bought stuff I didn't want just to use the coupon.

I read this last night and asked this morning when I was in there...and they told me that it is really up to the discretion of the Store how they handle expired items. Also, different Managers on duty will also do it differently. CS told me that they always have accepted them and a few times Cashiers wouldn't, the Manager on Duty authorized the transaction.

She said they don't usually accept too many expired coupons as there is always a coupon out ..but Kohls Cash is another story.

She said that each Cashier has the ability to scan the Kohls Cash...print out a bar code on receipt paper and then scan it at the end of the Order to deduct the $10 expired Kohls Cash. Scanning it reactivates it..

I have never tried to use expired coupons or Kohls Cash at Kohls. I have at Bed Bath and Beyond as it is a well know policy..

Why have coupons/expiration dates then?

I pretty much know my prices too..so if it is a sale during a 30% promotion the prices are adjusted accordingly. I don't mind really. They are out to make money and I am out to save money so we are on the same page lol.

They will also give price adjustments with the receipt within 14-day period.

Too many people abuse a good policy so they change it. I have read on here where people purchased Christmas Holiday decorations and then returned them before the January 31 deadline of the following year ..that was extended for holiday purchases.

A clerk at CVS told me awhile back that their coupons never really expire either.

i have always used expired kohls cash. in fact, i have purposefully saved up large amounts in order to use them on a large order. i will stop in to see if this will be the policy of our kohls also. they are very good about giving me the 30% off if i have the code stored on my phone. that will be disappointing.

i THINK they are bringing in a new frequent buyer program.

Enroll in the store or online at https://kohlsrewards.com/cp/k_landing.aspx and receive these benefits:
• Bonus 100 points for signing up (after you link it to your account) - may take a few days to post
• Earn 1 point for every dollar you spend
• Get 8 savings offers every year, guaranteed
• Plus a birthday offer

FAQs - https://kohlsrewards.com/cp/faqs.aspx

The rewards program is not in every state yet. And yes, starting 8/1 Kohl's will no longer accept expired Kohl's cash. I was told this also. I was one who never expected them to accept it after the stated dates anyway. I think people have abused this system till corporate said enough - as they should. As far as the 30% off code - they have to have your flyer from home to get the 30% off or you can try and scratch off a 30% at the registers at checkout. Not everyone gets a 30% off.

I heard recently they were going to stop honoring old coupons and the expired Kohl's cash as well. Sorry they are doing this because one thing that sets them apart is customer service and giving the customer what they want.

But that is exactly the problem - most people were abusing the expired coupons. A lady was in front of me with expired Kohl's cash from 1 year ago the other day. She said she would make a scene if they didn't ""honor it"".. I told her she was the reason they are doing away with the policy. She didn't say another word. The customer isn't always right.

I seem to go in spurts . . . shop a lot . . . skip a few months . . . good source for Cuisinart KCup machine, kcups on sale, Fiesta, kids clothes . . . including sporting team clothes, dressy skirts and blazers for daughter in size 2 and with their great prices IF it needs a little altering, usually hemming for skirts it is still reasonable and other items here & there . . . even Levi's for husband.

Although I will say, sometimes with my larger orders, when it is really a good clearance sale price(s), and then they ship it in 8-10 different shipments . . . IF they are having financial trouble they need to check their shipping cost centers . . . I'm patient, I don't mind waiting to gather up and send multiple items in one box but of course for all I know they could be coming from both stores and warehouses depending on stock/inventory . . . I know sometimes Belk does the same . . . and more recently with Beall's whom I'd never ordered from but needed some Columbia sportswear items and arrived in multiple packages from multiple locations.
