Our retails stores were allowed to open today.  However, according to local news outlets, someone forgot to tell the shoppers they are open. There are very few people shopping.

It was also reported that some stores have decided to stay closed.

Oh, they were sure to tell us in Texas. But I'm not going out. I had to go to the doctor and the drugstore last week and very few people I saw out and about wore masks. No way I want to hang out in a mall with them.

Question, because I rarely shop at brick and mortar stores anymore and haven’t for several years:

Who wants to try on clothes after they’ve been tried-on by someone else?

I know that if you order anything online (clothing/lingerie), it's not brand spanking new (as in-- never tried on in the b&m stores).

The clerks that do the online orders pull the items you ordered off the racks and pack them up for shipping.

But yes, it skeeves me to think that someone else has tried something on, perhaps many times.  I always try to look for something that doesn't look like it's ever left the hanger.  Fruitless, I'm sure...lol.  I do wash everything first when I purchase something.  Would never wear something off the rack.  But I, too, try things on in the stores.

I also get grossed out and am careful what I wear when I'm out dining, or at the salon, or even sitting on a bench in a park.  Don't like to wear shorts or skirts where my bare legs are touching where someone else's have.

Like everything, you have to *think it out*, I guess.

Has anyone receive a discount on their auto insurance? Geico gave a a 15% discount for the month of May, but I hope it´s the same for next month, June.

I have Geico also and after the discount, my bill for June is $16.

Sometimes it is preferable not to comment than to say something inappropriate, but in this case I congratulate you on this excellent blog.

In This type of blog they are of great importance for all those who like me have very limited knowledge in some topics of the home. I hope they help me clarify some issues.

At least buying online someone didn’t try it on 10 minutes ago.

I’m glad most things are still closed here. I’m tired and frankly don’t want to see more virus patients. Sorry. I’m cranky.

@bikerbabe

I see what your saying with them being tried on 10 mins ago.  10mins / 10 days...it still skeeves me out!

I'm guessing your in the medical field and 'seeing' virus patients?  You must be in a hot spot.

I'm surprised to hear on ABC World News Tonight that 45 states are 'opening up'.

@JaneMarple  Geico here, Mine is $15.65 for May which is due on the 18th. Were you given a discount for May? I wonder if I´ll get one for June? That would be terrific.

There's a big difference between an enclosed mall and an open air shopping center.

Kohl's, over the years, has wisely chosen to position their stores in open air shopping centers and because of that, they have a much better chance of surviving.

Even with a mask I find entering an enclosed mall unappealing.

My sister got back 61 bucks on hers we haven't gotten anything yet, but, then, we just got our stimulus check last week.  We're always last in Q. LOL
