MURSITPINAR, Turkey — The Islamic State group is about to capture the Syrian border town of Kobani, Turkey's president said Tuesday, as outgunned Kurdish forces struggled to repel the extremists with limited aid from U.S.-led coalition airstrikes.

This is what happens when you say you're going to denigrate and destroy ISIS and all you do is cherry pick your targets because you don't want to p.o. your base, especially with an upcoming election. We should have been carpet bombing these savages for months. Oh, and another thing we shouldn't have done is tell them what our plans were. Stupid beyond belief. And as for Turkey, don't believe for a minute that they're the good guys they once were. They've gone down the path towards radicalism.

Turkey has a recent history of genocide (the Armenians) but I agree with you they are not friends.

I can't believe how these people are suffering for days with this combat and there's nothing really being done to help them in a meaningful way. just heartbreaking...

I can't even being to fathom the fear and terror.

Imagine fleeing for your life in your own country. Think about it. Having to run with the clothes on your back, no food, no water - we just can't comprehend it until it happens to us.
