Re: Kenneth Jay Lane has passed away

In one of the articles online yesterday I read about KJL's passing, it mentioned that he had designed jewelry for Scaasi's fashions.

Gosh, remember when Scassi was at QVC? I remember Kathy Levine selling his clothes with him.  Those were the good old days, when topnotch designers were at QVC (and interesting to listen to, esp. their stories) - Nolan Miller, Bob Mackie, Arnold Scaasi (who passed away in 2015), Diane Von Furstenberg, Gabriella T, Blaine Trump, so many interesting designers with interesting things to sell and interesting stories.  Not QVC-owned run of the mill, overpriced brands.

Sad to hear that!  Back in the early days of these boards when people would ask who you'd like to go to lunch with I would usually respond KENNETH JAY LANE!  Oh the stories he might have told me!

Re: Kenneth Jay Lane has passed away

Years ago I bought his book Faking It. Each one was signed. Even Lou Reed wrote Lane into the song Sally Can't Dance.

He was a legend. May he RIP.
