Kelly makes the show fun.

When you look back to when Regis first began the show, the assumption even then was that the audience would be anxious to hear every detail of his and Kathy Lee's "utterly fascinating" lives that only the ordinary people would be able to live vicariously. Regis and his name dropping; Kathy Lee and her Frank and Cody, then Cassidy name dropping. The baton has simply been tossed to Kelly and now Michael. Personally, I find Michael much more interesting than Kelly, but then I don't watch it every single day either.

Who is Kelly's father? I don't enjoy her hosting skills so I don't watch.....

Mr. Ripa??? LOL. I think he has some very inconsequential position, like maybe a city councilman or something like that.

Regis had his show in California with Sarah Purcell hosting and others. I enjoyed him then but stopped watching during Kathy Lee's reign. Couldn't stand her.
