I don't like it, but my husband likes it. It is extremely healthy! It has tons of calcium and most veggies don't have a lot of calcium. It's bitter. I prefer broccoli.

It kind of smelled funny, too, but once it was mixed in the stir-fry it was delicious and no odor. I'm with GeoBushSenior, I cannot take broccoli. I try and try, and always gag a little. I'm shocked by myself, because I love most veg.

Perhaps I'll try that Noel. Thanks for the tip. I absolutely love broccoli, and I eat it pretty much every day. I buy many bags of it a week, LOL. I could eat broccoli at every meal.Wink

That's my husband and carrots! He gets bags of those little whittled down carrots and eats them on and off all day. After dinner he heads for his bag of carrots {#emotions_dlg.ohmy}

I just made soup for dinner. Kale with cannellini beans, mushrooms, red pepper and a little italian sausage. It was delicious.

That does sound good, a lot like last night's dinner.

Re: KALE: Like It Or Leave It?

I've been on a special diet for a year now and on cleanse days, kale is on the dinner menu. I loathe it! I prefer fresh spinach in my baby romaine salad. Swiss chard is a pretty good "substitute". I eat a lot of brocolli, shiitakes, garlic,and vidalia onions.

I eat kale a lot. I also really like quinoa. ;-)

Re: KALE: Like It Or Leave It?

When my mom grew it on our farm in the 1950's and '60's, I hated it. I think it was probably because it had the life cooked out of it before we ate it. Now I enjoy it now and then...but only the tenderest leaves...raw.

Leave it. I've tried it many different ways and just don't like it.
